"Operation Iraqi Freedom", the "Patriot Act", and even stuff like "Desert Storm" all seem like cheesy names from an ad campaign. I was trying to think of similar marketing style wars in history.

We have had not so long ago stuff like the Vietnam War and the Korean War, both with fairly unremarkable names. What other wars or miltary actions have got the marketing makeover?

What do you mean? Things like Operation Overlord or something along those lines?

Operation Enduring Freedom--The one in Afghanistan.

I think it's really amusing, these labels. Because you KNOW that they're called completely diff things in other countries.
