It does seem to be a longer sentence than one would expect. Then again, his assault caused

18 broken bones, a broken nose, missing teeth, a fractured rib, a ruptured liver and a thigh bruise so deep she wouldn't be able to walk for several weeks.

I predict a lot of upcoming fights in prison for him, inmates will want to see how they'd fair against an actual MMA fighter.

Yeah I’m not defending him and wouldn’t shed a tear over a life term, but just a little surprised that some killers serve less time.

He has a long history with violence, that was escalating to the point where a woman was nearly beaten to death. I won't shed a tear over this, he has plenty of time to pray, instead of being a violent, roid raging maniac.

I don’t know his history criminal or otherwise, but he’s an MMA fighter, a product of public consumption.

Was she cheating on him when he caught them in the sack?

Again, she didn’t deserve to get pummeled, but she escaped with her life. Compare that with Couch who killed 4 people who that are gone forever and their devastated families.

Just seems like there’s no standards in punishment.
