That's right folks, it's that time to pick the correct week the world goes to war against Iraq! Go ahead and pick the correct week and if you're the winner you'll have a chance to dodge the draft!

Warning: This thread is for entertainment purposes only! Should you win, you will not have a chance to dodge the draft because that would be illegal. Of course you have nothing to worry about since any war with Iraq won't last much more than 8 weeks anyways which isn't enough time to draft anyone anyways!
 
I'm thinking late Feb to mid March myself. So are you trying to get our input so you can goto Vegas and bet on these dates? People are taking bets there, even Wall Street I hear.

For best climate/weather anytime now through Feb/March, I believe. As for drafting dodging...."there ain't no draft no more".

There's a draft, it's just not actively recruiting people anymore 🙂 It's been reinstated since the 1970s...if there was no draft there would be no Selective Service to take down names for it.

Agreed, and me too. I've heard that the first week in Feb corresponds with the New Moon, ideal (I think, but I'm no expert) for giving the best advantage for our night fighting capabilities. Also, in the last week or so I've been noticing a rather large step up in the urgency of the reporting coverage, as if the media is now convinced war is inevitable, and will occur soon.
 
Men will die in this war; men who are putting their lives on the line to protect you armchair generals. It would be nice if you shut the fvck up and showed some respect for the people who will actually be doing something of worth during this conflict.

What was your disclaimer? That it "will only last 8 weeks", or that"none of us will have to go"? I'm not scared of fighting for my country; that would one of the greatest honors I could ever obtain.

War is not pretty, it is not easy, it is not short; if this thing happens, an entire country will be uprooted, a populace disorganized and rendered homeless; fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and children will be killed during this conflict.
 
OK, I want to hear from the 4 people so far and anyone else that has voted or will vote "Saddam is a good boy and will come clean!" Why do you think he'll get through all this without a war?
