Imagine an Army of those like loki8481 who didn't fear for their lives because they knew they were going to a better place? It would be just like those Islamic Facist we are fighting now

yeah, I'm not big into fearing for my own life either. that's not to say I would walk willingly into my death for no reason, but when my time is up, my time is up. I fully expect my friends to throw a huge party after I'm gone :)
Well Uncle Sam is looking for a few good men though I am betting he will make an exception and take you too!

I'm honestly not a Christian, but it just seems besides the point.

Death is inevitable, so why stress over it?

Hardly the same thing. Just because one doesn't fear for their life, and realizes that their loved ones are in a better place now, does not mean they are willing to KILL OTHERS WHO DON'T AGREE WITH THEIR BELIEF.

There is a big difference Red Dawn, think before you open you big mouth and start bashing Christians as usual.

The fact that you're a teenager is so painfully obvious. Get a clue.

If you're not a teenager you're either 12 or younger, or 20 or older. If it's the latter and you've still got this opinion I hope for the sake of the future that your sperm count is zero.

relax, I don't plan on reproducing :) I'm far too selfish; the idea of a living being having to depend on me scares the sh!t out of me.

Loki presents here an example of what I feel is a huge part of what is wrong with the world right now:

Lack of Empathy

Edith Stein wrote that in "On the Problem of Empathy"that it is through empathy that we develop our true self - i.e. that in interactions with others we determine who we are.

In a world where kids are pummeled at an earlier and earlier age with voilence and depressing data, I believe they are growing up with little to no ability to feel empathy.

Empathy is, at its core, the ability to internalize another's feelings. It means that when a soldier dies, one can feel in themselves a semblance of what that family is going through.

We are raising an entire generation of kids (and now adults) who almost completely lack empathy. And its showing.

Just because he claims to be a Christian and I criticize him for his callous statement regarding the person who perished doesn't mean that I am criticizing all Christians, just ignorant muddle minded fsctards like the two of you.

I can't say whether the lack of empathy is worse now than it was in the past, since I'm young and haven't read enough on it, but I can say with certainty that there is a distinct lack of it across the planet, and it affects human interaction on various levels. It's a feeling that those with it take for granted and sometimes have a difficult time understanding how another can lack it.

Yes, but people are saying they'd be happy to see you dead, and since you can move on to heaven and your family should throw a party, you really should be welcoming peoples' kind words here. They aren't villianizing you BTW; you did that yourself.

I see your point, Skoorb, but there's a huge difference between being happy about something and simply not being sad about it.

You would be sad if your family was all killed. And if not, you'd at least be sad if your car and your house and all possessions were burned and/or stolen. And, if you really wouldn't feel sad at either one, then you are not entirely human.

it's been awhile since I lost anyone close, but yeah, I would probably be sad... but if anyone ever told me that they're sorry for my loss or anything along those lines, I'd call them a fvcking liar.
