Yes, that was a great football game. That stadium was rocking. Without Florida's punter screwing up royally, I don't know if they could have pulled it off.
Auburn's defense really stepped up in the second half.

Florida got screwed on that fumble call. It was clearly not a fumble.
SECTION 19. Passes
Passing
ARTICLE 1. Passing the ball is throwing it. A pass continues to be a pass
until it is caught or intercepted by a player or the ball becomes dead.
Forward and Backward Pass
ARTICLE 2. a. A forward pass is determined by the point where the ball
first strikes the ground, a player, an official or anything beyond the spot
of the pass. All other passes are backward passes. When in question, it is
a forward pass rather than a backward pass when thrown in or behind the
neutral zone.
b. When a Team A player is holding the ball to pass it forward toward the
neutral zone, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts the
forward pass. If a Team B player contacts the passer or ball after forward
movement begins and the ball leaves the passer?s hand, a forward pass
is ruled regardless of where the ball strikes the ground or a player (A.R.
2-19-2-I).
c. When in question, the ball is passed and not fumbled during an attempted
forward pass.
d. A snap becomes a backward pass when the snapper releases the ball
(A.R. 2-23-1-I).

I hope the refs are punished for it. The rules state that if the arm moves forward and the ball comes out, it is a pass regardless of where it is aimed or who hits it. Furthermore, it states that if there is any uncertainty about whether it is a pass or fumble, it is a pass. The rule doesn't allow for intentions or guessing about whether the QB may have been trying to pull it back. I think it directly affected the outcome of the game.

The game was stopped and the ref reviewed the play. I am not sure what else anyone could have done to change the outcome of the call, as the ref upheld the way it was originally called on the field, that it was a fumble. :shrug;
