WAP or Router

So they are two different things.

I have Direcway satalite and trying to network. I read on thier website, I need a Wireless Access Point. So now I'm understanding it is different than a router.

Although I saw this:

Netgear FM114P Wireless Router Print Server

Which says its a "NETGEAR's ProSafe 802.11b five-in-one system delivers everything you could want in one mega-capable unit: router, switch, print server, Wi-Fi certified wireless access point, and firewall. "

So is this what you mean by a "cheap" one? A combo unit.

Do you not recommend this? I was looking a Linksys router, but now think it wont work with Direcway........needing a WAP instead.

Direcway Satalite is not a "Normal" Broad Band Internet connetion what ever you get make sure it can work with it.

Might be that the output is already Routed and thus you need an Access Point and not a Wireless Router.
