Wanting to use STI Knowledge inc. Any warnings?

The utility company I work for is wanting to send me to STIKnowledge to get the Certified Help Desk Manager certification. I have googled and couldn't find any negative information on STI. Anyone have anything to say about the Certified Help Desk Manager Certifiation or STI?

meh, if it is something the company is paying for then I don't see what a free certification of any kind would hurt. *shrug*

Thanks for the links... I have read up on what the cert is supposed to provide etc... I am looking more for informaion on real life application of the cert and any "STI Knowledge is a big rip off company" statements that I might need to rethink using them.

Well in my opinion, any place that offers Certification (be it A+, MCSE....whatever) needs to be approved by the makers of the cert....so if STI is a certified certifier (hehehe) then I don't think they could be that bad.
