This is the first video card I ever purchased and I basically purchased it because it was cheap and supported dual monitors. I originally had a 19" and 17" monitor. Since then I have upgrade to a 25" monitor and 32" LCD. This card just doesn't cut it anymore. And I recently started playing WoW and want something a little more (yes I know WoW isn't graphic demanding). I am going to set my budget at $125. I would like for the card to support DX10 because I plan on building a new rig in December and want to use this card in it for a year before I upgrade. I would also like something with HDMI since the LCD I have has an open HDMI port. The card needs to be PCI-E x16. Thanks!

And I would like to keep the price as low as possible. Here are a few I looked at. Here

If you are fond of MIR's then this 4850 is by far the best option for $150. Otherwise, better off getting something like a 8800GT.

Edit: I see you have edit your post for $125.... in that case something like this

Well, the really good deals seem to have dried up momentarily (early in a month is not the best time to buy), if you wait a few days some better deals will probably pop back up.

But here's the best I could easily find at newegg.

EVGA 8800GS $98AR
Powercolor HD 3870 $116AR
EVGA 8800GT $134AR

Any of these cards will be a massive upgrade from your x800xl and will play WoW great with all eye candy enabled. But note, WoW also requires a pretty good CPU (minimum 2GHz dual core) & lots of RAM (2GB). So if you're short in those areas you need to consider upgrading there as well. Post what you've got and we'll give further advice if needed.

Note: In the last two months I've gotten 2 EVGA 8800GS cards for $73 and $80 and a 256MB 8800GT for $78, all after rebates. So just be patient and look around the Hot Deals forum for a good deal.

You won't regret spending the extra $25 on the HD4850. It might even last longer then 'just' a year, where as the 8800gt and the HD3870 will have a harder time by then. Also, I don't think there are any videocards with HDMI out, not gaming videocards anyways. They all come with DVI out, some videocards, iirc, do come with dvi to hdmi cables.

I don't really want to upgrade anything besides the video card if possible. I plan on building a new pc in December and don't want to spend much more money on this computer. But I have a Dual Core AMD Opteron 165 (1.8GHz) and 2GBs of RAM. I have been playing it and haven't noticed any problems other than the video.

I would say either pick up an 8800GT, or go the extra $20 or so for a HD4850.

I'm not quite in the same situation as you (have an X850 Pro right now), but I'm close. I actually need to get a new PSU if I upgrade my video card, so It'd be quite an extra expense.
