Wanting to buy a portable MP3 player, any suggestions for decent cheap one?

Right now, I'm looking at the Diamond Rio 300 MP3 player. Overstock.com has a refurbished one for 59.99. It says that it has a smartmedia slot for expanding memory. I vaguely remember a thread that said some of them has to have the firmware updated to allow larger memory cards. I'm basically a newb when it comes to this stuff, so any suggestions are welcome.

I think it would be a big mistake to buy anything with 32 MB.. Isn't that what this MP3 player has? Buy one with 64 MB or 128 MB...

I would actually recommend a walkman-type player that can play both MP3 CDs and regular CDs, and a good one would be the TDK Mojo.

I like Rio Sonic Blue. Plays MP3's from your burnable CDR and regular CD's as well. Stores a lot more songs than any 32 or 64 mb stick also

Dude, get the INTEL POCKET CONCERT!! This is the best investment I have ever made for an audio device ever!! Especially if you like working out, this is the perfect MP3 Player... A little expensive but if you get a fat tax rebate 300-600, then go for it....

Well, I was thinking of something with firmware because I don't have a burner yet. I already have a discman, so I don't really want to pay for another one. I saw 32 meg compact flash memory for pretty cheap. Basically, I'd end up spending 59.99 plus mwave has 32 meg compact flash memory for 40 dollars. I'd spend a little over 100 dollars.
