I'm not sure if this belongs in video... But if it does Mod's move it there please.

I am graduating college finally, however I have 4 more years of school after this. Regardless I am getting my own Condo/House haven't gone shopping yet and have decided that I want a LCD/Plasma for my new house.

Basically I am looking for the best bang for the buck tv out there. This is going to be hanging on my Wall in my room. I am hopefully going to be able to have it function as my Comp Monitor, Xbox 360 Tv and my normal TV.

I also have a 17in Dell Ultrasharp 1703 Monitor for when I want to game. My current card is the BFG 6800 OC. Will I be able to run dual monitors with decent quality since I only have one DVI and one VGA connectors on the back of my card.

As for size I think anything from 26-32 is probably all I can afford now/ in the near future.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

For that sinze you will want LCD. Check out a piano black Samsung, I think it's a wall hugger, or the Olevio at CompUSA if you have one nearby. Those blew my socks off but I wanted larger which was the only reason I didn't get one.

Also check out http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/index.php? for a ton of info.

You should go look at TVs and don't rule out a bigger one since you'll have more space.

DLPs don't wall-hang but they're under 20" deep and are light enough to put on almost any AV rack. For 720p (1280x720) sets a 46" Samsung is $1,530 and a 50" is $1,800 (Best Buy & CC, mailorder is cheaper).

If you have a 4:3 tube TV now, remember that going widescreen will make a 4:3 picture much smaller -- a 42" widescreen will show 4:3 at about the same size as a 32" square TV.

Yea. My parents have a 42 Plasma now. I think I want to stay away from the DLP's. My buddy has one and I was not overly impressed by it. I could see 3 different colors on the screen. I guess it is common sometimes with the DLP's, something he was saying about how 1/18 people or something can see it. So that kinda rules out the DLP's for me but I appreciate the recommendation.

Don't rule it out until you have seen the latest models...they have improved.

Unless of course, he had the absolute latest
