Is RioWorks any good? Does ASUS make a board like this? This isn't for your average home system- I'm building a balls-to-the-wall-scare-the-schnikes-out-of-Sun-Microsystems AMD64 business workstation that would operate in a variety of professional environments from software development to intelligence-monitoring activities at The Department of Defense. So I'm pretty serious here. Gamers can take a long walk off a short bridge.

Looking for something without frills- a reference-grade motherboard. Stability is more important than performance if it comes down to that. Links and as much information as you can muster would be most welcome. Thank you!

That looks exactly what I may be looking for. Are there any boards that will support the Opteron's 1600MHz FSB though? I'm also looking at the MSI K8T Master2-FAR.

The Thunder K8W so far is the one that brings it all together - AGPpro, PCI-X, GbE, RAM on both CPUs.

Please mind that the AMD AGP tunnel chip is a bit selective on the AGP cards it runs or doesn't run. But you're going to listen to Tyan's recommendations and compatibility information, and then carefully evaluate your choice of components and the entire assembly, aren't you?

DK8N looks quite nice ... let's just see some more experiences about how mature and stable the drivers for the NF250pro, and this boards design, are.
