Wanted: Healthy Snack Ideas

I'd love to get a list of healthy snack ideas, something more involved than just fruits and veggies.

All information appreciated.

I have a Food Dehydrator and make jerky and dried fruit with it. Apples and Pears are good, and berries like Strawberries are really good on cereal. You can also make Fruit Rollups, although I haven't tried that yet. This is the one I have:

You can also do a lot with fresh fruits and veggies. My buddy introduced me to sliced cucumber coins as a snack, which has really grown on me. I like the One-Zip bags to tote baggable items around in: (you don't have to mess with the stupid Ziploc seal - the zipper is "instant", and it gives a much better seal than the fold-over plastic sandwich bags that don't have any kind of press or zipper system)

For more fragile stuff like watermelon chunks, I use SmartSpin containers:

DIY Trail Mix is good too - nuts, raisins, dried fruit, and anything else you want. Those One-Zip bags work well for trail mix too. A couple tablespoons of Natural Peanut Butter will fill you up (give it 5 minutes and you'll feel full, surprisingly), especially on top of a rice cake or two. What I've found works even better for me is doing 6 meals a day. That way, I don't need snacks because I NEVER feel hungry. I use this guy's diet plan:

The only time I bring snacks now is for heavy workouts, like on 20+ mile bike rides when I need the extra energy.

If you like chips 'n dips, try hummus instead of the more common bean/french onion/nacho cheese/ranch dips. I like it with pretzels, triscuits, carrots, celery, and by itself so far.

Cottage cheese! Hummus (hummous, however you want to spell it) is also great, as already mentioned...same goes for Jerky. Peanut butter and veggies can be a good and tasty snack if you're okay with the fat in the peanut butter.
