Wanted: Exact settings for P41.6A, EP-4BDA2+, Samsung PC2700 333Mhz

I've ordered components for a p4 1.6 Northwood system (P4 1.6A Stock HS/FAN, Arctic Silver 3, Epox EP-4BDA2+, Samsung PC2700 333Mhz)

Eventually (once the Arctic Silver has done it's job) I would like to try to go 2.4 Mhz with 400Mhz DDR (150 FBS 4:3 Mem-Cpu ratio)

I'd appreciate some exact info on how i should set it up. (core voltage, memory voltage, the works!)

Ah...perfect setup! That is what I run, and have a 2nd one on the way for a friend. Vcore is hard to say. Some have got to 2.4 @ stock Vcore, mine needs 1.675. Luck of the draw. I use stock 2.6 mem voltage. ram timings, I use "normal" cas 2.5, 6,3,3 (if I remember right). PCI/AGP is set to 33/66. That should get you close.

I was thinking about the RAM: I've heard that it is possible to go CAS 2 with the Samsung 2700 but then perhaps it wouldn't be possible to go 400Mhz?! Have you tried experimenting with the memsettings, Oldfart ? (Should I use a memory cooler kit?)

Also I wonder how many case fans would be sufficient for a 150FSB setup?

I am so eager to get the parts =) (Acctually it's the Samsung memory that is delayed to my vendor here in Sweden)

If I use cas 2 @ 150 FSB, 4:3, DDR400, I'll get errors in Prime95. I never tried upping the VDIMM to see if that would make cas 2 possible @ that speed. Never tried a mem cooler either. BTW, there are MANY 4BDA users over @ HardOCP forums. Check out whats going on over there if you haven't already.

Here are my settings on a 4BDA.

CPU - 1.6a @ 2.4 @ 1.7v (150 FSB)

mem - 400 Mhz DDR @2.8v, Turbo, 2.5, 5, 2, 2, 2

I see you run CAS 2.5. Have you tried CAS 2 ? But then again CAS 2.5 @ 400Mhz is perhaps better than CAS 2 @ 333Mhz or so (then the cpu clk would have to be lower too, i guess...) ?
