WANTED: Ajax Web Developer. Pay: $240,000/year

Hopefully we'll be out of there in less than 12 months.

I would do it. Pays 4 times more than my old job and I was always out in the middle of nowhere and never home.

240k is not worth it to goto a shithole and possibly get killed by suicide bombers.

Better write out the will before you leave.

DC has a higher average murder rate (i think) than baghdad, IIRC.

bombs make news, but there are plenty of shootings on your average day in a big city.

No taxes? Wow... and you'd be safe on the base. Sounds good to me. Wish I was an IT guy. LOL

Hmm... Then again... it is a government gig... they don't actually expect performance or anything like that... Hmmm...

Not even close... Urban legend there. I've seen it used with DC, Detroit, New Orleans and I think most recently Philly.

The murder rate in Iraq is many times that of any large US city.

$240k tax-free would be pretty tempting for a single guy who is qualified, assuming your job doesn't require you to leave base.

seems like a good opportunity. Too bad I dont know Ajax, or have a security clearance, or hold an US citizenship (yet)

I'd do it...but I don't know Ajax. 200k untaxed, wow...plus, it doesn't mention about housing/food, but even if you have to find your own the cost would be WAY lower than over here. You'd be taking home almost every dollar.
