Want your child to be a CEO?

http://www.azcentral.com/business/articles/1009Spanked-CEOs-ON.html

The debate over whether CEOs are born or made remains unresolved, but there is one thing they overwhelmingly have in common.

As children, they were paddled, belted, switched or swatted.

Of course most CEOs of today are at least in their 40s and higher, and were raised in a different time period when spanking wasn't nearly as controversial as it is today.

/was spanked as a child

a girl died in 1933 by a homicidal murderer. He buried her in the ground while she was still alive. The murderer chanted,"toma sota balchu" as he buried her. Now that you have read the chant, you will meet this little girl. In the middle of the night she will be on your ceiling. She will suffocate you like she was suffocated. If you post this, she will not bother you. Your kindness will be rewarded

WTF... stop posting this crap

Our government or should I say, some groups are trying to get legitation to ban spanking as a form of discipline, however alot of people here are against such moves.

I think America has been promoting non-spanking for several decades now and we only have to see the disrespect that children have for adults, to see that blackmailing your child doesnt work.
I dont understand how this all came about. Certainly there were cases of children being abused, however that is a long way from spanking. Parent have been spanking since day one, why some soft liberal ever thought trying to reason with a 2 yr old was ever gonna best the use of quick discipline barriers created by spanking, I'll never know.

The shame of it all, is the television programmes bring the current generation of childrens attitutes to the rest of the world. We are all lost......

/rant over...

Well duh... most CEOs are older than 20. In the 80s spanking became less acceptable as a punishment. It was common before then, not very common now.

If you polled ANY group of people in their 50s I'm sure you'd get the same results.

To answer your questions -
My older brother was poorly behaved, so he was spanked frequently. (born 1978)
I was well-behaved so I was spanked less frequently. (born 1981)
My younger brother was not very well behaved, but I don't recall him ever being spanked (born 1987)

It was always my mom who did the spanking, never my dad. She used a wooden spoon until she broke it on my older brother, then she used a plastic spoon. 😀

I answered maybe to the second question, because I am not a parent and don't know much about parenting these days.

Edit: So far none of us are CEOs, but give it time.
