No one is interfering with women's rights. They can go purchase birth control anytime they want.

Birth control is not equal to viagra.

It is fine by me if they don't cover viagra with health insurance.

To really get this bill right, I think it should require that any man who wants to obtain a prescription for a PDE-5 inhibitor must - in addition to the other provisions of the bill - receive a complete internal sonogram of the prostate and urethra (anal and penile probes).

Did you even read the article in the link? This to counter the sonogram bill that is winding it way though the state legislature. It is not about birth control pills. The thinking behind this and similar bills in other states is if women have to summit to a sonogram to get an abortion the it's only fair for men to have to jump through some hoop to get Viagra too.

Haha. I suggested this 2-3 weks ago. Here another one in Illinois. Because we all know as in the plethera of ultrasound bills popping up across the country, it's all about providing ill informed men information :)

Want a prescription for Viagra? You may have to sit down and watch a horrific video about the drug’s possible side effects.

The feminists and their lefty slaves get offended and have a PMS reaction - that what the stupidity of this bill boils down to. Anyone supporting this is really showing their colors here.

Its so pleasing to hear condoning the government forcing people to get a medically unnecessary procedure prior to exercising their rights to a legal procedure of their choosing.

And the vaginal probe bill was just as dumb. Somehow I didn't see all the enlightened socialists cheering in the other thread what a good idea that was. The clowns supporting both bills should be booted out of office.

Only a righty thinks the real reason for all the ultrasounds is so women have all the information

Indeed. Perhaps it might awaken them to the gravity of the error they are about to commit. Seeing a living breathing human being who is your own child...I'd imagine that's a little more informational than the deception which the left uses to rationalize killing the baby.

No, in addition to stalling for time, those on the right are trying to implement tactics that necessitate acknowledging the morality of the choice they are making. For mens' health issues like Viagra, that second factor doesn't apply.

I reject your morality and replace it with a reality of my own choosing.

It must be nice to simply choose your own reality. On a whim you can switch to a reality in which killing anyone who troubles you is entirely acceptable.

Just pray that you're never on the bad-side of someone who changes his or her reality.

Does Roe vs Wade ring a bell?

A clump of cells with no brain matter will totally convince them.. they had no idea that a clump of cells were in their body.. they thought pregnancy was...was... Well, of course they knew what it was.. they aren't braindead like the clump of cells they are about to remove.

I think you'll find that the 'enlightened socialists' want neither bill to actually happen. Actually, I doubt you'll find many people at all who will actually vote to pass the Viagra bill. It's simply there to show other lawmakers the precedent they're setting in terms of government throwing medically unnecessary conditions on receiving legal health care.
