I want to start a (?) foundation of sorts where I would donate $50.00 for every sack by Jason Taylor (Miami Dolphins) to an already established charity. How would I go about doing this? I'm not doing it for any notoriety, I'm doing this to well ... give back ...

Any help?

If you're just looking to donate money, you don't need an organization. You could try getting Jason Taylor to match your donations (possibly multiple times over).

Park the money at INGDirect or similar, then in Novermber we'll have our second annual Child's Play donation challenge here at ATOT.

$50 a sack will buy a nice pile of toys for the sick kids at the children's hospitals to share :)

(The hospitals are non-profits, so your donations will be deductible if you itemize.)

if you are donating the money yourself, and you are not soliciting any other money, you don't need to start a foundation/charity/etc.

it gets difficult if you are donating funds yourself plus asking for funds from other sources and then turning it around and donating it elsewhere.
