Want to share with you guys something dumb that I did *UPDATED*

On Friday I rented a PS2 from the local video store along with Gran Turismo 3 (I got the system for 2 nights plus the game for $11, not too bad a deal). Well the PS2 console and the controllers and other accesories come in a bag that is very similar to a camcorder case. I had 3 checks that I had to deposit in the bank tonight after work at the ATM. I had a bunch of errands to run this afternoon before work with the trip to the video store being last. I figured I'd stick the checks in one of the sidepockets of the PS2 case so I wouldn't lose them (bad idea!). Well damnit, I returned the PS2 and happily went off to work without taking the checks out of the PS2 bag! I'm hoping and praying to the Gods that the store didn't rent out that PS2 tonight! The video store opens at 10:00 tomorrow morning so I'm going to head over first thing and see if they rented out the system. I'm kicking myself now for being so stupid.

edit - I forgot to mention that these are 2 paychecks, and a $50 personal check, none of which were signed. The problem is that they total out to over $1000 and it will be a bitch to get them replaced. I'm going to feel like a dumbass explaining what happened to the video store dude.

The three checks total up to over $1000, one of them is a personal check, the other 2 are paychecks. They aren't signed so they aren't of any value to anyone else, I just hope they don't get lost.

When I first rented the console none of the accessories were stored in this particular side pocket, that's why I'm hoping nobody will find them even if it does get rented.

When I got home there was a message on my machine from the video store, they found the checks. Phew! I'm going to pick them up tomorrow morning first thing.
