FiringSquad.com is looking for a few good reviewers. We're holding a writing comptetition-if your work is good, you'll defininitely be considered for future review projects. And, if you manage to beat out the rest of the competition, you could get paid $1500 cash and earn a $10,000 writing contract to write for FiringSquad.

For more information: http://firingsquad.com/special/ec/

FiringSquad has been around for a LONG time. I haven't visited the site in years, and judging by their layout that seems like a good thing.

I couldn't think of a better way to let your highly intelligent and well-informed readership know about this competition :)

You do realize that FS is a competing site with Anandtech, right?

FiringSquad is one of the better sites (along with Rage3D and Xbitlabs) to go for GPU reviews. They did an awesome Core 2 Duo Cooling roundup recently.

SmoochyTX, this is not a typical black-man-avatar scam!

Lol take a look at the grammar in these threads, then post again if you still want reviewers. :p

My apologies for thinking it was a scam then.

FiringSquad considers Anandtech to be a "colleague" rather than the competition. Our markets are slightly different, although there is some overlap. We really don't have time for any petty politics-I happen to know the AT is a very popular site amongst FS readers, along with many other sites.

What we do share is a commitment to excellence in technology journalism, and that is what this posting is all about: we are searching for high quality writers to raise the bar in the industry.

Well if you consider them a colleague, did you at least ask their permission before posting?

Some of the contestant's grammar could use some work, that's for sure. That's why I am spreading the word-the more people we get to participate, the better the overall level of constructive commentary and criticism.

Would you like us to come to your forum to recruit people to write for Anandtech?

Are there any particular restrictions/requirements for the job (ie, I need a C2D rig or an AMD X2, etc.)? I'd actually be interested in doing something like this. And for what it's worth, my grammar is generally quite good. :p

Does the hardware matter, or is judged solely on the quality of the article? I'm an enthusiast without the enthusiast budget :p

Judging is based soley on the quality of the writing and analysis. You could review a Celeron 450 and we wouldn't care, as long as you can make it interesting and informative.
