Want to "legitimatize" my modded 360.

Don't care about the mod anymore, as I don't play it much. How can I bring it back to legitimacy to play on Live?

I want to give it to my brother, and I want to know if I update it, will it go back to normal? I haven't used it in about a year. It's also not banned yet, but I used an AP25 game on it that updated the dash, and won't run.

Is it too late? I want to kick his ass in some Madden this year.

when you initially flash your 360, it makes a backup of the previous one.

simply flash it back with that.

if you don't have that, you are SOL i think.

There may be other ways. I'm just not sure.

I don't know how easy it is to get "stock" FW and then flash it with your key. Your current key is present in the hacked FW that is on the 360 so it's definitely possible to at least get your key.

MS has stated they won't ban you for having flashed firmware, but will ban for using pirated media. With that said, it shouldn't be hard to dump the current firmware, obtain the key, and flash a stock firmware from it.

It used to be you could download the latest dashboard update from microsoft and burn that onto a CD. Once the Xbox detected the update on the disk it would install. That might work?

Gonna try it later tonight. I had to go out and buy a HD for it. Hopefully it goes well.

Had this thing modded for almost 2 years, and didn't take advantage of the mod even once.
