Swing dancing!
I never, ever, ever danced growing up, and it took until 2 years out of college for a friend to drag me to a swing club before I started. I resisted, but eventually I gave it a try, and after the third time or so I felt like I had picked up the basics. From then it was just a question of learning new moves, getting smoother at it, and just having fun. It's great because there are always more girls than guys, so you can just cruise around the room and ask someone--there's always someone who wants to dance.
Plus swing is just fun...lots of spins and other cool moves.
I think that dancing's actually a bit harder for guys, since you have to lead...if a girl's a bad dancer, she can just try to follow along, look OK on the floor if the guy's good, and learn as she goes. If a guy's a bad dancer it's not so easy...sure, a girl could take the lead, but then you'd be learning how to follow, not lead.
Just get out there, take the brief "intro lesson" that usually comes at the beginning of the session, and pick up a new move or two every time. It's fun. And yes, it's great to dance with your girlfriend.
