I just had a quick questions about coldfusion. I am not a web master, i do not have huge databases that i wish to show on the web, however in going in for a job i think that cold fusion would be a useful tool to have on my belt. I was wondering if people could point me in the right direction as far as tutorials go, how they did it, what server software means and such things. I am not a recluse when it comes to computers, I just want this question answered from the bottom up.I think its easier that way. If anyone could help, that would just be great!! Thank you so much

you should probably ask here in the official ColdFusion forums. dont be shy. i ask questions all the time.

i program in ColdFusion for work. i dunno how i got into it. i just did. ColdFusion is a lot easier to learn than a lot of other programming languages out there because its prepackaged. im not too sure about online tutorials. i know that webmonkey.com has some but if i recall, they are quite limited. if you post specific questions as you are learning, i can try to answer them. if youre looking for a book, i recommend the ben forta books. theres a blue one and a green one. get the blue one. the green one is much more advanced.

one of the things i learned is that when you are running ColdFusion Server on a Windows server, there is a high chance that new security updates will break some part of ColdFusion Server.
