want to get into water cooling

I am contemplating setting up water cooling for my system since I am sick of the whine of my fans and the huge increase in CPU temp whenever the room gets warm.

I currently have a Epox 8KHA+, an Athlon XP 1700+ (not overclocked), and a thermalright SK6 with a 7300rpm delta. I have the computer in a non air conditioned room so when summer comes along, the room gets really hot. I've already seen the effects. Usually my system hovers around 38-42 degrees celsius but it jumps up to 46-50 whenever the room gets really warm.

Anyway.. what do I need for a water cooling setup exactly? I've been to sites like overclockers.com and dangerden.com to research some of this stuff. How many parts do I need and how much should I expect to spend? I'd like to overclock my system in the future so water cooling would be great. I also know the dangers of condensation so any tips on that would be great too. Thanks

From what I've seen, you really can't get any better answers than you can find over at overclockers.com. Read EVERY article in their watercooling section, and you'll know more than you need to know.

This is exactly what you need
Eheim 1250
Heatercore/Radiator
Waterblock (maze2 or get geminiblock from dtekcustoms)
4 feet 1/2 Silicone tube
Hose clamps (www.aquastealth.com)

Don't worry about condensation. It won't happen. The only concern is leakage and you can prevent this by installing clamps. I recently had leakage all over my CPU & Mobo due to my stupidity. Now I have all these disgusting residues stuck on my CPU pins but it works fine.

My temp is 40C, 38C case temp
1700+ @ 2000+ default voltage.

PUN gave you very good advice.
No condensation. Have water cooling myself.
The water pump, you can by mych cheaper, I think, from local pet shops. Call all of them in your area and ask for acquarium water pumps between 200 and 300 gph. Compare prices and go anf get it. Saved me ~ 15 bucks. Plus you can get a much stronger pump, which can make up for the quality of a lot of things (smaller radiator, fans/lack thereof, water block).
