I've got this big honking zd8000 that I like, but would like something a little more portable with a little more power. Would preferrably like a 15.4" screen with high resolution and a decent graphics processor, nothing super overkill.

I figure I could probably sell this beast for maybe $350 (?) and then put that towards a new one. I do a lot of photo manipulation, graphic work, and music production type of work (Fruity Loops, Adobe Audition). I do have a 7% discount on Dell Home products, and a 24% discount on Dell Business products.

What would you guys reccommend?

I think a budget would really help. How much on top of the ~$350 can add? Also, do your Dell Home/Small Business discounts apply only to the base price, or on top of instant savings? For example, if the laptop to the general public is $726 ($999 - $273 instant savings), do you get 24% off the $726 price or 24% off the $999 price?

I'm not too familiar with what graphics cards would work best for you (business or gaming) but my guess is business. I think a Latitude E5500/E6500 would work.

Lenovo may have some products, too. If a gaming gpu is better, maybe inspirons?

Wish I could be of more help but, that's my 2 cents.
