I am tired of my Jetta and want to pay up my lease [in full] to get out of it. (Still researching how to do this , if anyone can offer advice, please do.) My lease is up in June 2010 otherwise. :(

I want to get a decently powered Coupe, but I don't know what yet. I was VERY interested in a BMW 135i, but I am 34 and that seems too much like a kids car + the back seats are probably useless.

I thought about the 335 coupe, but I think the 3 series is a VERY boring car to look at. I cannot bring myself to like the styling at all, and the interior is whatever. Also, it bothers me a lot that everyone owns a 335/328 these days - the series seems diluted. However, I don't think you could get a better driving car for the money.

Another option I was looking at is an A5 w/s package. That car is gorgeous. The interior is gorgeous. The price is...ugh'ish but still reasonable. I am scared that I will be turned off by the 3.2L engine though. I am looking for a lot of grunt in my next car. (Blame my father's srt8 for that.)

Any suggestions? I don't want to spend over $650 or so a month and it will be a lease.

Best bang for the buck (manual with a lot of HP) is a Camaro or Mustang.

Leasing is the best option for me. I don't like to keep cars very long.

We saw one at a dealership in Queens. It is a HUGE car, almost as big as a Magnum or Charger. I am not a fan of that size car.

G37, 370Z, Genesis Coupe, Camaro.

Otherwise wait for the new 1 series with the turbo'd 4 banger.

Audi's are much too expensive for what you're getting, a loaded A4 can approach $50K which is ridiculous.

Overall leasing is meh as I think you're discovering, I would encourage you to buy.

I guess, but I plan to keep my next car for a while. I was actually very happy with my Jetta until my father bought his SRT8 and my brother got his Evox MR. After driving those, my lil Jetta seems incredibly underpowered.

I don't mind the loss of money too much. Either way, I would have had to pay a hefty sum (trading in or ending lease early.)

Mustang, Corvette

C6 Corvettes are getting pretty reasonable in the used car market. The C6 will blow away both the SRT8 and the EVO.

Yeah C6 is always popular.

I like the 2010 Mustang, but I'd be kicking myself if I bought one now with the new motors coming next year.

Edit - Kind of funny but I'm going to test drive a Jetta TDI after work today.

Vette's are the best price/performance you can get.

You've been introduced to speed by a grunty V8 and IMO nothing else will do. Even if you get something that is faster on paper, it will feel completely pathetic according to your buttometer. Its just all that v8 torque that just overwhelms your senses and is something small displacement engines can't replicate, turbo or not. I think you should something with a V8...my vote goes to the Camaro or the Mustang with the revised v8 coming next year. Both push upwards of 400 horsepower and each should easily accommodate 500hp without losing everyday drivability...

Nice thought, but GM doesn't make a CTS coupe ... not yet, anyway.

Even the CTS sedan is great. Trust me in saying that those extra 2 doors don't take away from it's awesomness and they sure do come in handy many times.

there is no 2 sec fuel cut. When the car just came out and was being reviewd for what ever reason if you made really aggressive redline shifts it went into protection mode and cut power for 3 sec, they now reflash everything that was in USA, and now come with the new flash which changes the cut off to .01 sec.

The Gen coupe is a nice car and its not to expensive. The interior actually is verry good. your the first person I heard to say that is bad. Look at it in person.

There is also the G37 coupe. or a 370. Which ever
