Basically, I've got a '96 Ford Taurus. I think it was the first year that the car went ellipse. I've currently got a portable CD player plugged into my cassette, and have been feeding it batteries since my cigarette lighter adapter broke. I'm just tired of dropping money on batteries, power adapters, and listening to lower quality audio, so I'd like to get a real CD player for my car.
Now, the thing I'm wondering is...my stereo unit isn't in a normal square shape. It's round. Is this going to be a problem finding a CD player unit for my car? If it is, do you think I'd be better off getting an external one and not an in-dash one?
What sort of prices will I be looking at, and what's good on the market right now for the money?
Thanks.
