Hi,

i got a Prescott 3.0E with Zalman CNPS7700Cu

i want to change HSF, any good ideas?

I know HSF is suppose to draw the heat out from the CPU..
I wonder if today's HSF can draw the heat out from the CPU and also eliminate the heat.
What i mean is the heat of the CPU is really warming up the room.

If HSF can work like liquid cooling.. that would be great.
I have a Coolermaster Centrio case, (17' case)

Correct me if I'm wrong. But even with water cooling no heat is "eliminated." The energy has to go somewhere, it doesn't just disappear. Back to the HSF anyway. A zalman 7700cu is still pretty good. An xp-90 or xp-120 would probably only lower your temps a few degrees. If you're really set on a new HSF I'd wait till the 9500 comes out.

i see the review about the 9500LED version, seems like 10 degrees lower.
but for $75, it is really expensive.!!

research and developement and marketing are all in house expenses.....
For the money -- live with it!!
Nobody is forcing you to buy it!!
You say its expensive--zalman says they can make a profit and stay in buisness....
Zalman is NOT a non profit organazation!

Frankly you can get a Swiftech that will cool that Prescott for ~$50.

And the mounting system is superior to the XP-xx or the Zalman's.

The Swiftech couldn't compete with the Zalman for performance and the mounting system is one of the better/best there is.

which model of Swiftech?

I have no idea about the price of water cool.
About how much is it?

I have a concept that water cool is way better than HSF but it costs way more.

People tell me my system is cool.
I open the case.
Asus p4p800e-d.
38C cpu , 33C motherboard
but this is warming up the room.
