just be sure not to plant it near any large green pipes....it will start knocking all of your coins out of your pockets.

There's loads of neat looking carnivorous plants, my favorite being the cobra lily that grows up to 1m tall and looks impressive.

FYI I've found that this website: Sarracenia.com was increadibly useful over the time that I have owned a VFT. I've mailed the guy several times over the years when I've had issues and have found him to be really friendly, helpful and seriously knowledgeable.

yeah, 7" passive traps!! Do ants and stuff just craw in and get stuck?

The plant produces nectar around the entrance of the trap to entice bugs/whatever, then the inside has a waxy texture which causes the prey to slip into the pool of digestive liquid.

I have another plant - a Sarracenia purpurea - that instead of being waxy, is actually covered in little hairs that all point inwards towards the liquid. You can see them in this pic..


I think I need to get out more.
