Ok I want to build a computer that is for 2 things. This computer will act as a reciever, dvd player for my entertainment center. It will also be used as a lan party computer. Now I have decided I want it to be all black. I'm going to use this case ---> Inwin IW-S523 I'm gonna use a black floppy and a slot load pioneer dvd drive which im going to paint black. I have an audigy xgamer that I will use for sound and a radeon ve for the video. I havn't decided on what motherboard or cpu to use. The harddrive will be a 10gb 7200rpm maxtor. (I think, not sure yet) It will be networked in my house, to play mp3's off of the main computer. Mainly I don't know what surround sound speakers to use for the system. I want them to be cheap, $200 and under range. But mainly how do I hook them to the soundcard if they have bare wires? Theater speakers have bare wires right? how do i go about hooking them to the audigy. I'm gonna run svideo to my tv for dvd's also. Its gonna have a window in it with a neon also, for lan parties 🙂

AmdEmAll, most "theater" speakers do have bare wires for connections. I'm not sure how you would connect bare-wire speakers to the type of "headphone" style speaker outs that the audigy has. W/ $200.00 as a range for speakers, have a look here: http://www.americas.creative.com/shop/shopcategory.asp?Category=180 . Yeah they are made more for computers, bt depending on the size of the room they will be in, they might fit the bill. Hope this helps
