I want to add another memory to my computer. I already have 1 set of transcend 512mb dual channel pc 3200. Do I have to add another pair of dual channel memory? Can I just add 1 memory module for example 1gb pc3200?

so long as you have the slots for it...yeah, it should be a drop in replacement..however do a little research and see if your particular board has trouble with populating certian dimm slots or anything like that

You "may" just add 1 x 1 gb stick, but it's better to get another two sticks of 512mb then you will lose less performance. However, I said you will lose "less" performance even with two sticks 512mb because you will lose the ability to use 1T command rate.
The best alternative is to get 2 x 1gb sticks and that way you will lose the least performance (1gb stick generally has worse latencys than 512 stick)

1T has to do with RAM timings - I think it has to do with how many clock cycles the memory has to wait to do some operation. I doubt you'd notice the difference with 1T vs 2T - probably less than 5% easily, but don't quote me on that. The only difference I've noticed with 1T vs 2T timings on RAM was that 1T caused instability in an overclocked system, without adding any noticable improvement in RAM bandwidth.

*Disclaimer: I might not know what I'm talking about here. :(

The effect of "1T" vs. "2T" command rate is pretty significant vs. other memory timings settings.
I benchmarked my system with SiSoft Sandra Memory bandwidth, I got these numbers
2x 512mb 1T - 6050mb/s
2x 512mb 2T - 5480mb/s
