want the new windows 8 look now?

The browser looks like a Windows mobile phone, I don't want my home computer to look like that. Just not to my liking, I'm sure some people will love it though.

Yeah, I don't get it either. These half assed Windows skins are the bleeding edge in technology and if you're not willing to install them you're not cool at all.

I am always excited about trying out and seeing how far our technology goes. Most of the people on here don't ever remember using DOS, lol. Hell I work at a company where we still have machines using Dos and win95. lmao

I'm well acquainted with DOS, and I was using it on a limited basis not too long ago. I think most here are rejecting this because cell phone interfaces aren't appropriate for a desktop system. It's a crappy interface when pros like MS do it. A buggy amateur attempt isn't going to make it better.

Yep. Things are big and slidey on phones for a reason, you've got a 3" to 4" screen roughly, and no keyboard/mouse. This shit on a desktop is just making me f'ing furiously angry. This better NOT be the default desktop for Win8, or at least they should make it 1-step to disable this garbage. It's ridiculously hideous.
 
Umm... I don't think that I'll want the new Windows 8 interface even when Windows 8 comes out. I'll be turning it off as quickly as I turned off the desktop widgets in Windows Vista.

And I think we are "saying" to you, that the skin in question is NOT appropriate or ill designed for a desktop model. Fine for a mobile device maybe but just porting over the skin for desktop use is not appropriate because the interface (in this case the keyboard & monitor) are DIFFERENT. In some cases there is no need to "try" - this is one of them.

but then again who knows, just saying its hard to make a decision based off seeing a couple of pics of the OS.

who knows, it might be completely different from what you think it is and 3 years from now you could be using it every day and loving it. or hating it.

Just saying, don't knock something until you give it a try.
