Yeah, $170 with an X-Fi Gamer is a lot to spend. Oh wait, the X-Meridian is $200. :disgust: :roll:

I mentioned using 5.1 analog in my first reply to this thread. There are a lot of people with receivers that do not have the input though, so they're forced to get some sort of DD/DTS encoding feature unless they're ok with fake surround.
