You don't need a 775 mobo to run it.

Nforce4 or via's new pcie chipset run pcie for the AMD side of the market.

i think it should be a SIN to waste that much money on that card. the performance advangage is negledgable, and its like $300 more. if you are rich, put that money to a better cause then a 5fps performance increase 😛

If you are that rich, you should just buy a 6800 ultra and donate the extra money to charity. IMO, nobody should have enough money to be able to drop that much on a card without caring.

They really care, or they wouldn't spend that type of cash. Some are spending much more to have sli setups. But I do agree that conspicuous waste is not good. So lets hope they play lots of games and don't just post benchies on forums. Hell you can pretend to buy the card, if all you want to do is post benchies.

if they work for most of their life and now have enough money to do with it whatever they please, than i feel its perfectley fine to do that and not even think.

However If you have 5 starving kids at home and buy a card like that, you should have the hell beat out of you.

Dell UK site has X850XT Platinums available on 8400 series computers, only £300 upgrade from X300SE....lol.....thats around US$525 give or take atm i think......not bad...lol

only prob is i guess u have to buy the whole puter with it....lol....still, could buy the puter, get the card and sell the puter...lol
