Want a new mouse and mouse pad

I want something for everyday use and casual gaming (or heavy once UT3 comes out). I'm currently using a MX500 and planning on either getting a G5 or MX518. I'm leaning towards the G5 since it lets you adjust weights, but don't know too much about it.

As for the mouse pad, I have no idea. I'm just using some cheap CompUSA pad right now.

the g5 is easily one of the top 3 best mice i have ever used. actually its easily the best. not only does it perform amazingly, its built like a nuclear bomb shelter- it wont break.

the mousepad is easy too. compusa has them, its a laser mouse pad only. the g5 works perfectly on it, and the best part of the pad is its thin, so it wont bother your hand to slide off the edge of it. plus, they are had for <$10, and they are very durable so long as you dont move them around a lot.

ps- get the BLACK one! the blue one is bad. they are completely different surfaces, the blue is slick and shiny and causes your skin to stick to it, the black is rough like say some countertops and allows everything to slide easily across.

Depends on how you like you're mice. Of the mice you mentioned I would go for the mx518, the extra price of the g5 is not really worth it.

The MX518 is technically the better mouse, but it depends on if you like the weights I guess. Razer's optical mice are fine as well if you like those ergonomics.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm go with a G5 and a SteelSeries QcK mini.

Oh, are there any good places to buy the SteelSeries QcK mini? It costs $10 on their site just for shipping.

seriously man, go to compusa and spend $10 TOTAL and be 110% happy. trust me.

I too enjoy the Razer mice, but to each his own.

Right now I'm using the Xtrac Pad pro for my office machine and a Quik Steel pad for my game system.
Used to go padless but a good mouse pad does seem to help my game slightly.
