Well depending on the model you have that card can be overclocked a fair bit, even more if it has a power connector. Use this for overclocking ~ http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/msi-afterburner-beta-download.html
Also don't go for the 770 atm cause the 960 will launch in a few days & that'll force a rejig of the entire midrange, then you can pickup a better card at an even lesser price.

Can you tell us exactly what 750Ti you have? Brand and model number would help a lot. Also, what CPU do you have?

R9 285 should work well with your current power supply.

Tons of information about it here:

A lot to wade through, but worth the time. Also, almost any professional review of the card will give you a quick overview of the settings they used (most use MSI Afterburner to overclock - just adjust the sliders for the GPU core and memory).

What CPU are you using? Technically you could use either with a 400w power supply, as long as it isn't a cheap one.

For comparison, I am running a 290 on a 450w PSU.

What model is your PSU and how old is it? Rest of system specs?

What is the make and model of your PSU. Wattage is not enough, we need to know the amperage, quality, and connectors available on the PSU itself.

Also, what motherboard do you have? Was this a prebuilt system or one that someone put together?

We can't tell you if they will work until we have the proper information. Like everyone else has said, we MUST have the make/model of your power supply to give the correct advice.

Um, no, if you want to sell your cards, post them correctly in the For Sale forum.

To the OP, what model PSU do you have? A high quality 400W is more than adequate for ANY single GPU setup you can put together today.

But I too would suggest waiting a couple of weeks (rumors say mid to late January release) to see what the GTX 960 bring to the table. Even if you don't get that card, it will likely shake up the pricing structures for the other cards and may give you a better deal.

Until the OP gives us the make/model of his 400Watt power supply, both of his threads about upgrading are useless. We need more information.

Do yourself a favor & wait for a few days, you'll get better deals on existing cards pretty soon & will have another option with the new Maxwell midrange launch.

Like others said, it would be great to know what kind of PSU you have.

Hopefully you have 2x 6-Pin PCI-E power connectors, and if so, I think you'll be just fine adding a 285 to your system.
