I want a new monitor......19" or 21" under $1000, preferrably under $800.

What to look for?

Right now I'm geared against this one:
http://www.hitachidisplays.com/products/21_823F.htm

Yup, a hitachi 21".....any experience with hitachi monitors?

Right now I've a Iiyama Vision Master PRO 450 19"......not bad this one either...but now I've 3 computers and only one monitor so I want another one.

Required:
Dual input, means possible to connect 2 computers to it.
min 1600 x 1280 @ 85Hz
Preferrably low dot pitch......
Flat screen.

Any inputs welcome...

Sony 19" G400. Best monitor I've ever used (and I'm pretty picky, having send back a Sony 21" and a Mitsu 21" due to different image quality problems).

Hi.
Whatever monitor you buy follow my advice scince you can get in trouble!
Buy the monitor in a place close to you where you can see the one u are buying hooked up to a computer in the store and transport it yourself to your home!!! It can be damaged otherwise and it can be hard to prove that this was done during transport to you and not at any other time!!
I had this problem, they tried to refuse me a repair because they said it was damaged when sent to me and not before that! Only after talking to Sony they finally tried to repair it! I am now waiting for it and hope that it is ok now. Ok it might be some trouble doing what i recommend but believe me this is nothing compared to what can happen!!
Good luck!

You really need to check out this link. I bought one and think it's incredible :D

If you are thinking about a 19", this is the only way to go. If you are looking at a 20" or 21", I envy you :)

I second the Nokia idea. I picked one up for $400, very clear 21".

One complaint it looks a tad bit washed out, other than that, nice flat trinitron monitor.
