its in Advanced>system frequency/voltage configuration>multi and voltages> and then you can change it. just follow the oc'ing guide here. make sure you flash to bios 1009, unless you have a venice, then use 1011. i can tell you how to do this. in prime, you want to go to options>torture test> then press ok. make sure you follow the guide.

im beginning to think that maybe he has an older bios, i looked in my manual, which has directions for the original bios, and there werent voltages there. download a program called Everest Home Edition here and go to computer>dmi>bios and see what version it is.

Go to the Asus website and download the manual for your motherboard.
You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the manual so download that if necessary.

The CPU voltage settings are explained on pages 93 and 94

Per the manual
It is in the JumperFree section. You set CPU voltage/speed to "Manual" and anoter field becomes available that shows the actual volts, and you change it there.

And for Prime95 go the the options menu/torture test, I run the first test "small file" this puts maximum stress on the CPU calculations. The second on "large files" puts maximum heat on the CPU. And the third one tests CPU and Ram. I don't change any of the other settings.

sry, was'y home yesterday but now I am and i looked for whate version of BIOS I got and ist is version: 1010.33
and yes can you tell me how to flash the BIOS to bios 1009, unless you have a venice, then use 1011? whate ever that will do.....

i've done the first small file test in prime95 for 15min and I had no failure but my temprature whent up to 45°C so does that mean i almost got the best of my pc and can't go any higher?....
is it the meaning that i turn everything of while prime is working of do i keep using pc in the mean while?....

thx and peace out

ok, if you dont have it, download cpu-z here . then open it, and see what the codename is. it could be winchester, venice, or new cassle. tell me which it is. if you have a venice, flash to bios 1011. if you have something else, flash to 1009. you can get the bios file here get either 1009 FINAL or 1011.007 BETA.

on your mobo cd, there is a program called Asus Update. install it. use the program to update the bios from file. select the bios file on the computer that you downloaded. it will run, and then you will have to restart. enter the bios and configure your settings.

also, 45C isnt too hot, you can get it up to maybe, 55C before you start to worry. but try to keep it below that at all times.

remember to follow the guide. do it exactly, because it works really well, and you can really see what you computer can do. good luck!
