Wanna see what a highside looks like in still pics?

Great pics!!

That guy was really really lucky... and btw, that's pretty much a textbook highside.. A bit too much throttle and the rear starts to slide (lowside-ish), your brain tells you to let off the throttle, the rear wheel slows down a bit (while all backed out) and then catches... while the bike is sideways.. It's worse with a twin because there's so much engine braking that you're a bit more likely to get tossed rather than stay in a lowside. IMO most of these could *technically* be avoided by staying on the throttle, but it's real easy for me to sit here and say that when I'm not there.

It's not uncommon to see people literally thrown 10-20ft in front of their bike from the force of the bike 'flipping' back over when the rear catches.

Huh. I have the exact same Pirelli Diablo Supercorsas on my ZX10R.

Personally I wouldn't blame the tires, it looks to me like he really is out of lean angle. He's not leaning off -at all-.. And that shift level looks like it's almost scraping.

Which SC do you run on your 10?

SC2's. Typically get about 1500 miles out of them.

I wasn't implying the tires were the problem, quite the contrary; the Supercorsa series is probably the my all-time favorite track tire, I'm actually a little saddened they got replaced with the Rosso's. My 10 has only ever had Diablo Supercorsa's on it, usually 3-4 sets a year.

As someone said int that thread, if you put your mouse on auto scroll and scroll down fast you can see it in full motion (to some degree). Looks awesome! .. and painful lol. Glad he's ok.
