It's just pretty much the most mediocre city on the planet. It's not necessarily bad and I don't feel there's a lot wrong with it, it just seems to offer nothing.

It's because it's so unbelievably average. They judge it on however many categories, and with most of the big cities they are ranked near the top of some, but consequently at the bottom of others. Pittsburgh just seemed to have the highest average score.

I think Rochester made the list because at least they can always look at buffalo and feel better.

What? Philly and DC are two of the most dangerous cities in North America and its on that list? This list doesn't mean anything.

Actually you're right, Austin is nice... it's the rest of Texas that sucks.
