Edit: Keep in mind that this test youre running is not testing what you get off DSL reports, but what your speed is with the server this file is getting hosted on. I personally have found the results to be really close to what DSL reports tells me I get, but other people have had different results.

Edit2: I realized that I had made a math error in calculating the formula. Results should be more accurate now. I also will be adding sounds just as soon I can meet with the Hemi group at work.

what makes you say that?

when i run a speed test on my laptop I get 2.5
then when I run the flash version I get right around 2.5 as well.

from the testing ive done at work in the lab its very accurate as well.

keep in mind youre measuring the speed between you and my website host... not some dedicated bandwidth testing site
