I'm actually going to watch the Daytona 500 for the first time in, well...ever! I'm watching because of Juan Pablo Montoya though. I don't care about the manufacturers or any of the hillbilly boys driving. I like Montoya. I've been following his career since his days in CART and I met him twice in the pits at the Long Beach Grand Prix. I hope he does well in NASCAR.

I'm pretty sure that DJ can make the race as a previous Cup Champion though.
Anyone want to bet that Waltrip and Reutiman won't make the race?
Montoya won't race Sunday. He led 18 laps in the second Duel but his car broke and he slapped the wall.Originally posted by: JulesMaximus

But back to Waltrip, it's a shame he was able to race his way in to the 500. After this cheating 'incident' and wrecking Dale Jr, he should be banished from Nascar. LOL

Wrecking Jr. should get Waltrip and extra 100 points to make for his cheating.
Sucks that Kenny Wallace didn't get in. And yes, it will definitely be an interesting race on Sunday. Can't wait for the Busch race Saturday either.Glad to see Nemecheke make it in and Montoya did better then I expected. Going to be an interesting race.
