OH NOES!

Did Waltrip just wreck Dale Jr? If he wasn't public enemy no. 1 before, he is now :D

Same reason.

I also heard it looked like vasoline (lots of hearsay). That sounds like silicon grease. Still cannot figure out what that is a cheat. Unless it was silicon rubber and it was used to create a venturi that helped air get by the restrictor plate faster. Guess we won't know.

All that the did was put in a fuel additive. This is the same as you putting in the STP Fuel Treatment from Wal-Mart in your car. Same stuff.

i read in the paper that it was some sort of octane booster that they think leaked out of the fuel system

this is absolute bullshit.
these people are role models for our children.
octane booster might as well be anabolic steroids.

I'm pretty sure that DJ can make the race as a previous Cup Champion though.

Anyone want to bet that Waltrip and Reutiman won't make the race?

Looks like you would have lost that bet. All three MWR cars are in the 500.

Montoya won't race Sunday. He led 18 laps in the second Duel but his car broke and he slapped the wall.

Montoya will be racing Sunday, he getting in the race base on last year top 35 car owner points

He's correct. Montoya will be in the Daytona 500.

But back to Waltrip, it's a shame he was able to race his way in to the 500. After this cheating 'incident' and wrecking Dale Jr, he should be banished from Nascar. LOL

Wrecking Jr. should get Waltrip an extra 100 points to make up for his cheating :).

Glad to see Nemecheke make it in and Montoya did better then I expected. Going to be an interesting race.

NASCAR is already suped up cars that none of us can ever achieve anymore so who the hell cares if they get some advantage from fuel mixture or air holes or an extra 1cm of wing. So long as their based of a "stock" frame thats all that matters to me - add all the wings, "air holes", drop, rocket fuel you want. I like to imagine the day when we can watch the daytona 500 in less than an hour :D.

Yea if you make the race on time, the Duels set where you will start. But, you're right he still would have been in even if he didn't make it on time based on the owner points from last year. It's odd how it works for the 500, it's like a combo of the two time and last years owner points.

Sucks that Kenny Wallace didn't get in. And yes, it will definitely be an interesting race on Sunday. Can't wait for the Busch race Saturday either. :)
