Walmart pulls Xbox 360 Kiosks

It is still unclear which specific part of the 360 console was causing the interference in the first place...and whether it could interfere with other consumer wireless devices as well. When questioned about this issue, a Microsoft spokesman was confident that it would not.

"The issue is specific to the equipment used in a few retail environments," the spokesperson said.

It's tin-foil hat time! 😀
Seriously though, some of this is kinda overstated. I mean isn't sitting in front of a CRT for most of the day supposed to make you impotent? Hmmm.... *checks* Yup, 'lil critters are still A-OK 😛

lol, that's why I will still only buy 900MHz cordless phones.

5.8 GHz phones FTW!

Brain cancer FTD (for the dead)!

You don't get out much, do you?

Yeah, don't let the big numbers scare you... visible light ranges from around 400 Tera Hertz to 800 Tera Hertz in frequency.

Radio waves are harmless and don't affect the atoms in your body, they just pass right through. The harmful types of radiation are the higher types, like ultraviolet, xrays, gamma, and cosmic particles. We get a certain amount of all of these just by walking around outside, so don't let that scare you either.

I've never had a problem with my old 900 Mhz phones. And they are much cheaper than the 5.4s so that's what I prefer too. We actually have some 900s and some 2.4s and a Wireless G network and don't have any problem with anything.

People still have phone land lines?

Yea, and you can use em with VOIP too.

Hmm, I meant analog land lines. Do they even make cordless VOIP sets? I'm completely ignorant to that sort of thing. Why would I want to pay $40/mo in addition to my cell phone bill (let's face it, once you have the cell phone, you really can't do without it...unless you work from home).

The way VOIP works, you have the VOIP router that plugs into your modem, and then it has a phone port on it, that you can plug ANY phone, or even several phones into.

Also, where are you seeing $40 a month? I am thinking about getting www.packet8.com for 19.95 a month.

Walmart customers dont have to worry, they are already brain dead.

Yeah, you can tell that people who'd rather pay $1 instead of $3 for the same item are just dumb as boards!

Jason

most of the prices are the same at walmart except for the one they advertise.
