That's expensive milk.

it is? i paid 3.61 for a gallon of milk yesterday.

That's absurdly expensive milk. I don't think I've ever had to pay more than $1.99 for a gallon of milk here.

I think I pay about $4/gal for non-organic whole milk.

I got really confused the first time I bought milk from Walmart. They have the Great Value stuff and Country Fresh all mixed in together. The labels look similar, so you have to actually look at the jug to make sure. I was used to shopping at Meijer where they had different brands on different shelves.

I think we've got better pollution regulations and controls though.

True. China still goes through much more coal. I still think the comic was kinda stupid though :-/

The price reflect volume of sales/purchase.

Walmart pricing could be computer generated fixed at % over cost of purchase and volume of sales. And, price discrepancy could also due to the different in volume discount from their distributor/s.

I remember earlier this summer when milk was about $4 a gallon. I'm happy that it's $2.25. And yes, WM doesn't give a crap about the halves.

Obviously this is a case of an old tag no being removed or the stock being faced to fill an empty shelf where a different product had been. Certainly not anything to bitch to the consumerist about.

But leave it to consumerist to spread the word about insignificant crap! Without Consumerist how would I know that installing the Windows game World of Warcraft in Linux with Wine can lead to unexpected behavior. :Q And I wouldn't have even thought to complain about something so stupid without the Consumerist.

Our walmart's milk has always been more expensive than our local grocery store, so I buy it from there instead of walmart. 🙂

Oh no you don't. Stuff has been Carter's or Clinton's fault for long after they were out of office.
You go right ahead using that one.
