Walmart is awful!!! /rant **UPDATE**

So, I get a graduation present of some money today and I want to go buy a ps2 and san andreas (my ps2 crapped out and hadn't bought a new one yet. I figure I should go tonight so that everythign isn't sold out if I go tomorrow. I drive down to my local walmart (20 mins away and obvioulsy only store open tonight) and low and behold... NO SAN ANDREAS...

Now I'm annoyed at how stupid walmart is at being out of a totally popular game the day before the biggest shopping day of the year.

There's a walmart 25 mins from where I am so I bite the bullet and drive there. They have San Andreas there (3 copies left) so i'm happy... I mention to the guy I need a ps2 also and he says "oh... we're out of those... again." Now, I'm really pissed off and think "again? that can't be good." Before, I drive the 25 minutes back to the other walmart where I was to buy a ps2 there I ask the guy to call them and see if they have a ps2 so I wouldn't have wasted any more time. Guy calls......... hold...........hold................ After about 3 minutes he says "maybe i should call back and try again?" I say... "yeah why dont' you do that." So the other store never picks up. I decide that there is no possible way that Walmart is so stupid as to be out of ps2s when black friday happens and drive the 25 mins back.

So i get there and NO PS2s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How retarded is walmart?!??!1 Anyway, i just had to rant after wasting so much gas and time trying to find an item that should be overstocked :disgust:

But, on the other hand... at least I have the money to buy a ps2 now... and I'm defintely not going to walmart for anything unless I absolutely have no other option

Okay so it's not safe to assume that they would be fully stocked with these items BEFORE the biggest shopping day of the year? If it was tomorrow then that would be another question....

yeap it is the biggest shopping day of the year. so you figure they could be low or even out so what do you do? PICK UP THE FRICKEN PHONE AND CALL.

if you are going to drive that far why wouldnt you? seems silly to me. I'm not suprised they didnt have the game in. The one in town will not carry it because its to violent (oddly they have dawn of the dead movie though).

while i agree that its suprising that they didnt have it. I can't blame them for it. he should have called and made sure they had the game or the console. It is not walmarts fault that he wasted the time or gas.

Oh yea, it will be the biggest shopping day of the year. Does that mean they don't sell anything before hand? What about them stocking up FOR the biggest shopping day of the year. it doesn't take an extremely computer savvy person to understand supply and demand. When demand is high, supply is no doubt going to be low. It's basic economics.

yeah i would think its a real dumb decision. From what i have read the new PS2 is selling great. Why wouldnt they try to keep them in stock? But then again the ps2 is a old system (i think its still better then the XBOX). heck i just baught a new PS2 about 4 months ago and had a hard time finding one.

heh even though i have a px2 game i have only played PS1 games on it.
