Yes married and "employed" but not working on a project right now so I'm not billable. Until sales gets me something it's this and "studying".

Don't some of the US states prohibit guns being sold at a department store?

See that's what wrong with Canada. You should be able to buy a gun, some garbage bags, a shovel, and some lye at one convenient location. And they have to have express checkout lanes for when you're in a hurry.

LMAO! And he says it so "matter of factly."

I just found my new Quote of the Week. Thanks, Hammer09!

Just a hunch Skoorb, but if you think about it................since Wally World is completely nationwide, and nearly worldwide..............isn't it possible they were comparing prices to other stores????;) Perhaps it was $6.50 at the store a few miles away and they marked it down for the opening of the store you were in.................;)

I'm with Skoorb on this one. I get so sick of seeing those little blue stickers, "Was $7.88" with a new price sticker of $6.50 attached to it. You lift up the little sticker and you can see the price has always been $6.50 since the old sticker is obviously very worn and has been up for a long time. Not that their prices aren't great. Just don't give me some BS about a price drop if you've had a low price all along. I'll respect you more for your low prices than lying to me about how you're slashing prices for me.

I had my own big Wal-Mart rant halfway typed up the other day and then my power crashed on me. Then Skoorb beat me to the punch :p My big beef with them isn't their prices (obviously fantastic.) It isn't their employees (most I've encountered are very nice.) And it certainly isn't their selection (it's the ultimate one-stop shop.)

My big complaint is that they've become SO successful and popular that going there is now a MAJOR hassle, even if you go in the late night hours which is about the only time I'll go now. And any place there's a Wal-Mart you can virtually guarantee it'll cause traffic problems around it. Once you navigate the surrounding area you then have to do battle in the parking lots. Once you find a parking spot, you then have to engage in hand-to-hand combat inside the store for aisle space. And once you've bought all your stuff, you get to go up front and stand in lines reminiscent of Soviet bread lines back in the 70s. It's just TOO friggin crowded and not worth the hassle unless you're buying a LOT of stuff to justify the savings. And this isn't for lack of Wal-Mart stores in our area. We've had about half a dozen Wal-Mart stores pop up within 15 minutes of my house within the last 7 or 8 years. Most of these are now being converted into SuperCenters (including the same one Skoorb just went to.) So it's not as if we're lacking for choices.

I'll still go to Wal-Mart every now and then because their prices are SO good it's practically the only place that makes sense to do major shopping trips for household items. But I NEVER go in there anymore for a trip that'll cost less than $25. It's not worth the hassle for the modest savings at that price level. The only problem is that the success of stores like Wal-Mart, Target and K-mart (which is all but dead here now) have nearly killed off most of the small mom-and-pop options for smaller trips. Drug stores are now my store of choice when I'm making smaller trips. I may pay a bit more, but it's hassle-free.

EXACTLY why I refuse to shop Walmart, period! I drive 4 miles down the Toll and shop at Super Target.

Wal mart is the official poor white trash gathering area. You can go to any city in any state and the customers look and act the same... no class and bad taste.

Every time I go there, I regret it. They do a good job with oil changes though.

That price listed is just the corporate price the product used to sell at. We see crap like this all the time at work.
