Some of the checkout girls are hot.
TBH, that's an understatement. Some girls I've seen made me want to HOWLLL right there and then. One of them was seriously Hollywood material. Built like a basketball player and she had a look on her face that suggested she had no idea how beautiful she was.

It's probably just you and your high testosterone.

That seems like the best use case scenario for self checkout imo. When you only have a few items they are not that annoying to use, and often faster than waiting in line at the cash.

Testosterone wouldn't make someone see hotness in an ordinary chick.
"Built like a basketball player"

Yeah...your calibration sure ain't mine.

And for me, my body can make the distinction between beauty and lust...many beautiful women I see...that I have no sexual desire for....but I can still see how others would want to utterly get in bed.

Scanners were fun, because when the price was wrong, some customers still acted like it was my fault, as if I personally programmed the computer system wrong.

I remember having a guy complain to me he could get the meat he was buying cheaper at the store down the road. OK, then go there instead? I don't get profit sharing buddy I really don't care.

Umm, no thanks. For once I'll have to agree with @Torn Mind :tearsofjoy:

I meant she had a lovely ATHLETIC build! Gosh, you guys!
So basically everything below the head is good enough...sounds exactly like you...:p

I'm attracted to athletic chicks...but basketball players' faces are either just not my type or average.

He did say "built like a basketball player", not "face like a basketball player", FWIW.

You just talk to them. You're not required to bend them over the cash register and fill all three holes.

He obviously likes athletic statuesque Amazons. Not my type personally, but each to their own.

I think we should use crypto at stores! Could pay in dogecoin or something.

Figured I'd bump this since I noticed that Target has reduced the SCO checkouts at the local store.

Had to wait in line a bit because of it.

I have never been comfortable with SCO kiosks. It's almost like a form of dyslexia springs up every time I try to use one. :) Can't remember the last time I used an ATM, TBH, it's been years I guess. :p I've had better luck with ATMs, much better, generally no problem, but I have a checking account at US Bank and when I walk into my local branch there's usually no line whatsoever.

I've often wondered if I should say something to such a woman concerning this, but can't remember doing so.

I don't think I've used an ATM in 25 years or more. I did use the self checkout at Walmart during the lockdown portion of the pandemic. But since my motorcycle wreck in '22, I have most everything I want delivered.

Our local Target has basically eliminated SCO, the kiosks have been removed, they're roped off, why not shuffle stuff around and I don't know sell more stuff? I love using SCO swapping price tags from a $1.89 bowl and slapping it onto a $169 vacuum, I'm kidding but I have seen dozens of youtube bodycam videos which are very entertaining.

My stop and shop grocery store has 4 security guards at the exit and 8 self checkouts!

- I may have hypothetically used a UPC printer once upon a time to snag a Geforce 7900GTX for the price of a 7300GT and had the balls to take it through a normal checkout lane.

The teller may have even hypothetically said to me "Wow that's a really good price for a 7900GTX" and I may have hypothetically been sweating buckets because the whole hypothetical scheme would have fallen apart with even a modicum of rigor, but somehow it hypothetically worked.

The stress of imagining me doing that ensured that I don't ever attempt that scheme, hypothetically of course, ever again.

Helps that I actually have money now too.

I actually like the self check-out option, but maybe that's because I'm typically an anti-social person when I'm running errands. You do it a few times and you get the hang of it. I don't buy alcohol all that much anymore, so it works out.

When it's good, self checkout is pretty good, but badly run machines, and groceries make it miserable. Groceries are probably the worst case scenario due to the potential oddities and one-offs.

Sometimes I wish Grocery Outlet offered self checkout because the lines can get long especially when they have wine-o specials, one cashier and 8 impatient customers in the line.

For better or worse, my groceryoutlet doesn't get big lines. Not when I'm there anyway. While it's great getting out of the store quickly, I worry they aren't making enough money to stick around. I'd *really* hate to see them go. They're exactly what I like in a grocery store. Cheap prices, and random inventory. Makes it fun seeing what new stuff they got in every week, and trying new things.
