Walmart.com - Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player $224.00

all colors back in stock. just ordered silver. good price from a reputable retailer. all other stores i had check were out of stock, even shady ones. my receive date was even before christmas.

Well...because it looks pretty damn ugly. IMHO. Also, I like black the best. Besides iRiver who has a cool looking black mp3 player? Either way, I am getting mine i a few days and I will post some pics

Edit: sorry, I lied. the muvo is pretty good looking...the form factor just doens't do it for me.

I just got a Muvo2 4GB for $125 AR and have to say I'm really happy with it. FM would have been nice though I hear it isn't so great sounding on the smaller flash based Muvos

Hey gonzo where'd you get the muvo2 for 125? that's a great price for it. I've been looking for an MP3 player that's small and large capacity and I think that it fits the bill.

Thanks

Just be sure to pay the $20 extra for a 1-year replacement warranty -- the 90-day warranty is not very safe, especially on the microdrive units. Every brand and model I looked at on Amazon has a number of people saying the drive died after 4-6 months.

These little guys are tempting, but I'm probably going to get the $180 Zen Xtra 30 GB instead -- 300 of my CDs means a lot less swapping in and out of tracks.

It's a shame that this drive never seems to be in stock from Creative, as it is only about $1 more from Creative and it's labeled a "limited edition" that comes with an extra battery.

ordered it from ecost a week ago and they are "partially backordered" whatever that means. DUnno when I'll get it...pretty annoying.

I was lucky enough to get one from Newegg. Their price was ok, but I mainly bought it from them just in case I needed customer service. Also bought the extended warranty, given the track record of mp3 players in general. The player is built very well and I'm very happy with it.

I did order the Zen Xtra 30GB from buy.com instead -- $230 after adding a 2-year warranty, but before $20 rebate from Creative and a $30 gift cert rebate from buy (in 4-6 weeks [ for spending $200 ] ).

$180 for 30 GB just sounded better than $360 for a 20 GB iPod with AppleCare warranty extension.

When did you order your micro from newegg and in what color? Just curious. =)

I'm glad you like it thus far. Can't wait to start playing with mine...that didn't sound good.

which b&m stores actually let you play with this thing? my local best buy didn't have it, and i haven't seen it at walmart. any opinions on the touchpad scroller?

Got mine from Newegg on Wednesday (12/15). Color is silver. It looks good but I wouldn't mind seeing the other colors in person.

Hmm where is the best deal to get this thing? I am so far looking at NewEgg or Amazon and both are roughly same price with shipping and taxes.
