It needs motion blur like you would get in real life when moving your head side to side.

Quite the opposite really. You need high frame rate and low persistence strobing to accomplish a good VR experience. This is mostly due to the combination of head and eye rotation producing rotations speed than are an order of magnitude more than watching a TV. Its hard enough to make the display blur free without adding fake blur back in. Eventually, yes. But they need to do eye tracking and a much more complex blur render based on where you are looking than we are doing now.

Hi Jae!

I bought 2 40" Element brand LED TVs at Walmart during their BF sale for $178 each to use as 1080p PC/gaming monitors, basically. They are 60hz. I got the 3 year warranty, too. So far, they are pretty decent for the price, but one of them had a bit of a blueish tint out of the box that was easily fixed by going into the service menu.

I noticed on their website, they don't list any, but if you click their current add link, they list a 39" LED Element that looks identical to mine for $248, which is a decent deal for a cheap LED TV.

Element also offered a cheap 50" LED at Target for $228 on BF, but I heard those had a lot of quality control issues. For a 50" at that price point, I'm not too surprised about that.

Just my 2cents worth, I hope it helps.
