Wallet

Looking for a wallet that fits the bill:

Bifold
Has an area to put my license (like a dedicated area for it with a piece of clear material)
Don't really need a place for my cards, but I might have a few (3-4)

You need to go to a store and try them out.
We don't work for you.

Oh yes, let us scour the internets for you to find an exact match for all your requirements.

Dopp Regatta 88. When mine finally breaks (almost 6 years and still going pretty good) I will get the same one again.

I have a Tumi wallet. Excellent quality wallet that is not showing any wear after 2 years. You can try Bass wallets. Very soft leather and reasonably priced. Not as durable as Tumi though.

Bally. It is made out of a scratch"proof" cow hide. Mine is three years old and looks brand new. Worth the money for me! I used to go through normal leather wallets once a year before they started looking like crap...

I used to use dopp but the plastic window fell apart too easily. Johnson and Murphy makes a better version for a little more money, the plastic window is sewed in which makes it more durable. Both use soft leather which wears pretty quickly in my experience.

I'm using some $10 leather tri fold I got at the store at least 8 years ago. Not sure what brand it is. It is showing some age and wear but still in decent shape.

Your front pocket.

Seriously.

I stopped using a wallet 20 years ago because it would actually cause subluxation in my lower back. I stick my license, couple cards and any cash in my front pocket.

I'd at least still stick the stuff in the wallet and then put the wallet in the front pocket. Keeps it all together instead of a bunch of individual cards and cash to keep track of.

I'm carrying a trifold wallet I picked up in Hong Kong 10 years ago. The brand name is Satchi, and I didn't pay much for it. It's nice though, and over the years has worn itself into a very soft leather (not sure if real leather, probably not).

The way I look at it is if I lose a wallet,I lose everything.if I lose our misplace one card, it's just one card and I have everything else.

I also rarely carry cash and only carry two cards, usually.

Best wallet I've ever owned is a Dooney & Bourke bi-fold. Not made for front pocket...still wonder how you sit with a wallet in your front pocket, but no matter.

That wallet was purchased in 1986, has been washed inadvertently twice during its life and has finally reached the point it needs replacing. Thinking about sending it back to D&B for refurb'ing I like it so much. All weather leather and wears like an anvil.
