Wall Mounting STB ideas, recommendations

I've recently wall mounted an LCD in our outdoor eating/grilling area. When the mount's arms are folded flat, there is enough clearance for the STB to be mounted flat against the wall, completely hiding it from view.

Because the space is enclosed on all but two side (top, bottom, 2 walls), the IR signals bounce around enough that the box doesn't need to be exposed to function.

All the mounting solutions I've come across are shelf like, with the box perpendicular to the wall. I'm looking for a solution for mounting the box with the bottom flat against the wall.

Ideas?

Adhesive mounts sound a little suspect.

I am thinking about popping the box open, and creating some anchor points (drilling holes in the bottom)

I'm not sure how to describe it, but if it's truly hidden maybe you could just make some wooden L-shaped 'brackets' to hold it to the wall... almost like large retaining clips. The could either run the full depth of the box or just have 4 of them... 1 at each corner (two at the top, two at the bottom). Probably not the prettiest solution, but should be cheap and effective I'd think.

See if the box has holes in the bottom. You only need like two 1/4" size holes, then put a couple of screws into the wall and let the screw heads
go into the holes in the box. Just be sure they do not go in far enough to short out anything. Or look here and see if something will work.

That. Many boxes are holes with slots that are meant to be used to flush wall mount it. Or, and I know you think I'm crazy - big velcro tape.
